Where are we?
Bormio lies at the top of the Valtellina, north
of the Lake of Como, some 260 Kms from Milan and
about 75 Kms from the Swiss border in the direction
of St Moritz.
Nearest airports: Milan-Linate and Milan-Malpensa.
They are also linked by a shuttle bus service
to Milano Centrale and Milano North railways.
Milan-Malpensa is also linked to Milano-North
Railways by train.
The nearest train station is in Tirano. There
is a reasonable frequent train service from Milano
Central station to Tirano, followed by a direct
bus service to Bormio.
The journey takes two and a half hours from Milan
to Tirano and an hour from Tirano to Bormio. It
is not expensive.
Coaches and mini buses for family groups can be
hired from the airports, prices on request.

Please remember
The Alpine Passes Stelvio, Gavia e Mortirolo are closed to traffic from November to the end of May/June due to snow.
Please pay attention when using satellite navigators, they will find you the shortest route but not the safest.
The Munt La Schera Tunnel is open to one way traffic
on the 2nd 9th 16th and 23rd of April.
